Cocaine (COC) Drug Test is a simple one-step way for qualitative COC & primarily benzoylecgonine as metabolites detection in one's urine. The detection limit corresponds to the standards set by the SAMHSA ? 300 ng/ml.
Cocaine can be taken via smoking, vein injections, intranasal administration and orally. Withing quiet short period of time it is being excreted by the system mainly through the urine in a form of benzoylecgonine metabolite. As it has a longer half-life than cocaine (5-8 hrs compare to 0.5-1.5 hrs) is is detectable during the 24-80 hours after using cocaine, varying from person to person.
The Cocaine (COC) Drug Test is based on very specific immunochemical reactions in which antigens and antibodies engage. The sensitivity of the test is 300 ng/ml.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Take the test strip from the foil pouch;
2. Hold the strip in vertical position; dip it very carefully into the sample. Make sure not immerse it past the maximum line (see Figure 1).
3. Read the test results in 3-5 minutes.
INTERPRETATION OF THE TEST
1. If the test works properly, the color band must appear at the left part of the result window. This is a Control Band;
2. The right part of the result window shows the test results. If another color band appears there ? it is the Test Band.
POSITIVE RESULTS: if only ONE COLOR BAND appears the result is positive and the cocaine concentration is above the detection limits.
NEGATIVE RESULTS: if TWO COLOR BANDS appear, than the no cocaine toxins have been detected. The color can be either lighter or darker than on the Control Band.
INVALID: if there's no distinct COLOR BAND in the left part of the window ? the test is invalid.
Note:
If you see a very slight band in the right part of the result window that disappears within 5 minutes, than the cocaine level in the sample is either close or below the detection limit. The sample is either to be retested once again or to be confirmed using another testing method (usually gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) before making a final determination.
